Rant number 355
Today is quite possibly, the last rant of all!
Not because its the end of my rants officially (there are still 11 of the sods to go.)
No it's because, apparently - tomorrow is the end of the world!
Now, I've already touched on this before, but it's a subject that does deserve further inspection.
There are many many ways that the world could end. Nuclear war, rogue asteroids, alien invasions, pandemics etc etc etc.
When it happens though, I have a sneaky suspicion that no one is going to give us plenty of notice.
Also, when the Mayans supposedly predicted the end of the world, they should have been a bit busier predicting their own end - which was quite a while ago!
The fact that the calendar ends tomorrow is because they simply couldn't imagine any further into the future. It's not a prophecy of doom - just a bit of an oversight really.
Then there is the fact that they didn't count leap years so that arbitrary point has already gone by!
As such the whole thing is complete crap.
Should the world end tomorrow though - feel free to give me an I told you so in the afterlife hey?
