Rant number 362
A great man once said 'expect the worse and you won't be disappointed.'
It's a bleak and grim statement - but it's bloody true. I'd you don't expect anything better - how could you be disappointed?
It is however, a human trait to torture ourselves with things that are yet to happen - just in order to guard ourselves against the bad stuff.
Tomorrow, I'm off to get my ear syringed - which is perfectly routine and has been done to millions of people over the years.
I can't help but worry about it however. It feels crap now - but I can't help but worry its going to feel horrid once it's done.
The thing is as well- that the things we dread are, more often than not, an awful lot better in reality than what we are dreading.
That being the case then- why do we even bother to worry? It's not necessary!
Rant over.
