Rant number 144
Sorry guys, a little bit political again today, but after seeing David Cameron's smug (and infinitely punchable (really - I'm pretty sure I wouldn't ever get tired of just smacking that smug upper class doesn't give a shit grin) face there was no other choice.
We put our trust in the government because there is no other choice. These men are meant to be our elite - the best educated and most reasoned individuals. That's the tradition of government after all.
Maybe, around the world that's what they have. People who talk with reason, impartially discussing the peoples best interests (or their own lets face it.) That's what we have.
But we don't.
We get a set of hooligans, muttering and jeering at each other over a valley of benches.
Have you ever seen a business run like they run the government? It just wouldn't work. How anything ever gets done at all is a complete mystery to me.
What inspired me to write this was David Cameron's childish behaviour today, when he called Ed Balls (the Shadow chancellor) an idiot. Don't get me wrong - I think he is an Idiot also, but I think that David Cameron is one too.
You'd think that David Cameron would know by now that you don't announce it in a public forum (particularly not with TV cameras around) if you think someone is an idiot - or you are going to look like a bit of a wanker.
This isn't a unique happening though. It seems too common that 'respected' MP's chant and whoop like children in the schoolyard - taking sides over a playground scuffle.
We deserve better than this! I want my decisions made by sensible people - not jeering idiots!
It drives me mad.
Rant over.
