Rant number 150
I thought I'd save the rest of the olympics bashing for later. There is a whole summer of this to go after all.
So whats bugging me?
This week at work, I'm covering for the mechanic who is having a well earned holiday. I don't do it often, but it's within my capabilities to do the repairs and checks that need to be done.
The only problem with doing it really, is that I am surrounded by sharp things, heavy things, scrapy things and hammery things - and I really am quite clumsy.
After two days so far this week, my hands seem to have half of their usual amount of skin, some very deep scrapes and some small cuts - I'm pretty sure that that's not a good thing.
Why do I have to be so bloody clumsy - in fact, why does anyone have to be? Is it bad luck, lack of concentration, lack of perception or something else that causes me to be clumsy?
In the office at work for instance, I knocked my knee into a desk that has been in the same place for several months. It's not moved, I know where it is - so why do I have to bang into it? It hurt, I didn't like it.
It's like all these cuts and scrapes. I think that I just don't notice them when I am concentrating on what I am doing. It's only later when I try and do something less complicated - like pick up a cup that I feel the pain
I really should work on paying more attention and avoiding some of this pain!
Stupid bloody clumsiness!
Rant over.
