Rant number 130
For those of you not aware, Monday was a bank holiday. It was lovely - it really was. A free (paid!) day off is always welcome.
The thing is though, that work is generally a constant. There is rarely a day when there will be less work to do. As such, the week that follows a bank holiday often is a bit of a pig.
The reason is simple - you need to squeeze in the extra work across the week: playing catchup if you will.
I hate playing catch up, but I can live with it for my day off.
The issue though, is that the general public just don't understand that things are put back a day by the bank holiday - and go into a panic about things.
I've already talked about it in the past I'm sure - but I think everyone deserves a break around the bank holidays. If it means waiting a little longer for things - so be it!
We get little in the way of free time off from the government, but its a right we all fairly deserve to enjoy. I can take a small delay to things around it - because I'm not bloody selfish. If I deserve a day off, so does the person I'm potentially buying from.
Its an extension of the selfishness that seems to be spreading across the world. People are so disgustingly narcissistic!
Just be patient, enjoy your time off and stop bloody whinging.
